Why would a kid with a good head on his shoulders want to go to that Dirthole (LSU), which ranks in the bottom 4th of PUBLIC schools and bottom 9th of all schools nationally.

Dirthole? :hihi: ...sounds like a comment you make when you're jealous and have nothing else to say. They better maintain their so-called "high" academic standards because I don't think they'll compare too well against us in any other category. I'm not sure if this guy has ever been to LSU but I've been to their beloved home. Here are a few reasons why a "kid with a good head on his shoulders" would prefer LSU.

*Women...hands down LSU has them blown away
*Food...Louisiana vs. Indiana-no contest
*Campus & Campus Life...Dirthole is more appropriate for South Bend
*Sports Programs...LSU by a mile
*Game Day Experience...like comparing apples to oranges
*Best Band...does ND even have a band?
*Best mascot...Mike would eat that little whimpy Leprechaun

*BTW...maybe a great high school FOOTBALL player would list his #1 requirement as....attending a school with a great FOOTBALL program. That would be another reason to consider LSU and scratch Notre Dame(s) off his list.

How about this quote from the ND forum:

While almost nobody that isn't an Irish fan is giving ND much of a shot against LSU in the Sugar Bowl, I am one person who thinks that ND has a very good chance of upending the Tigers. LSU is good, no doubt. However, you look at their schedule and their margin of victory and realize that this team is not all that they are cracked up to be. Against Top 25 competition, they are a pedestrian 2-2, and in all of those games they struggled mightily in one facet of the game or another.

Simply put, they are like every other SEC team- they think that they can compete with the nation's elite by playing through the SEC schedule and not taking on any tough out of conference opponents.

Quinn is good, and the Tiger's front seven are not what they used to be. So their secondary is strong both in terms of depth and talent; if LSU cannot put on a strong pass rush BQ will move the ball on them by making the right throws and putting it on the money. Russell is a good QB but he isn't elite, he has choked in the biggest games of the season, and still makes some terrible rookie decisions with the football. This team is very poor in terms of holding onto the football. If ND can stop the run and put the ball in the hands of Russell to win this game, I think ND comes out on top, 24-14 in an upset.

Rather harsh assessment IMO. Russell has improved a lot the second half of the season. They underestimate the SEC.

This guy needs to assess ND's schedule. Talk about week. Talk about getting it handed to you by ranked teams. Just insert ND where he has LSU and this would be a good assessment.

And?.... Notre Dame is a dismal 0-2 against top 25.

Wouldn't that be better narrowed down to more of a 2-2 against top 10 teams as opposed to top 25 teams?

Does anyone here know who Geaux11 is over at the Notre Dame board that I am on?

Them people over there are beginning to make me mad, they are deleting threads now when someone tells them something about one of their members.

I just started a new thread asking why my posts are being deleted, I am doing nothing wrong over there.

I guess I will find out if they respond to my new thread.
