Hanagriff was saying Mike Detillier interviewed Tommy Moffitt and he said that 33 tigers BP'ed 400 pounds last year and 45(about half the roster) BP over 400 this year. I know this has been discussed already, but according to Hanagriff, their top player, DE Bill swancutt(sp?), BP's the most at 385!!!. I find this very hard to believe(I am taking his word), but say only ten people BP over 400 on OSU. There is still a huge strength dropoff from LSU to OSU. That easily tranlates on the field, especially both lines.

I imagine that our DLine will have a field day, especially with the left side never having started, I really can't see OSU being that great. I wanted to share this considering some people, myself included, are worried about being upset. But our speed, strength, talent and coaching are easily better than OSU. It is also good that they no longer have Steven Jackson in the backfield, so that is a plus for us. I mean can they really survive Death Valley at night? Let's hope that it is steamy Sat. so they wilt after the 1st quarter since it's 60's in Oregon.

The biggest 2 differences in last years team and the great teams we've had over the last 20 years was that we were at least just as strong as the other power house teams and faster than all of them. Back in the day, we always had very good athletes, especially on D, that would get worn down by the larger Bama and Nebraska great teams, that we could never seem to beat in big games. We would play em straight up in the first 21/2 qtrs and then wilt.

Also, we would be a step slower at many of the skill positions, especially at corner and safety, and this would come back to haunt us, Bama alwys seemed to beat us deep on a long pass from the wishbone fprmation. These days I don't think there is a team in the country faster than us and maybe not any as fast.

Strength and Speed, no matter how you look at it, they just may be the 2 things that finally put us over the top.

    You're 200% right ... and why these

azzclowns with their 10-cent heads breathe "fear and panic" and talk about 2 or 3 LSU losses this year ...

    I simply cannot comprehend this ... unless it's a conspiracy ...

and these so-called fans are Aubie, USC, Okie, Georgia or Bammer  Crossdressers

The real keys are the TEAM strength and TEAM speed. This leads to nasty D and special teams, a balanced offense and DEPTH that allows for rest and rotations as well as insurance against injury.
Strength, speed, athleticism and coaching is a lethal combination.

Our physical WRs are going to humiliate their secondary with some great downfield blocks Saturday. Tigers in a romp!

Once again, you're free to meet me anytime at my apartment across the street from Bernie Moore.

If organized sports are 100% athletic ability, USA basketball would have won gold in a landslide this summer. Sure we might have the most talent in the country, but we do not have the leadership on offense and defense that we had last year.

I simply do not think that we can go undefeated with:

    1) the key personnel losses that we have had
    2) our three hardest games on the road

It's my opinion and I am entitled. Call me an "azzclown" all day, but don't accuse me of being a barner, bammer, or bulldog.

Great googly-moogely, man, if they bench this much, I can just imagine what they can squat...

A 400-plus BP? I wonder how many we have who squat somewhere north of 600-650? I bet most of the linemen do.
