  2. I can't believe this is even an issue. The Raiders aren't going anywhere anyway. Even if Jamarcus totally sucks, let him get some game reps. His physical tools alone will allow him to make a few plays, at least. Yeah, he'll make mistakes. But how can you get worse than Culpepper's 87 fumbles in 88 career games?

    I say give JR a few more weeks to learn the playbook and unleash him for a few series in each of the last six games of the season. If he gives the silver and black a spark, keep him in there and let him build his confidence.

  3. Well, he DID miss all of training camp, after all. Now, for a veteran quarterback (i.e.: Vinny Testaverde) missing camp may not be that big of a deal, but for a green QB, that's a huge issue. He has to learn not only the playbook, but the NFL work ethic, as well as other subtleties that come along with being in the NFL. The NFL is not very forgiving to rookies. Give him time.
