:crystal: I called the wrong person(s) an idiot. When I called Jackson an idiot, I was really talking about Miles meaning it was idiotic to attempt 3 FGs with a sub-par kicker. Jackson's at his best when he is punting not kicking. Therefore, it's a no brainer that you pin them back or hell just go for it. Our D dominated that second half. Now the other idiot is you NoLimit. Do you spend all day on this forum? Do you have nothing else to do? Hell, mr. bigshot, i spelled "sighting" wrong and you didn't even catch it. So at least now i know the type of fans im dealing with. If you guys are happy with trying to win games in the SEC with FGs then a national title will not be won anytime soon. What you think islstl?

Yea, I'm probably the dumbest person on here. Just ask anybody here.

I missed your illiteracy? Read the thread again...I'm pretty sure I pointed it out about three times. Maybe get your Mom to read it to you.

Both 4th down plays in the 4th quarter I was calling for us to go for it.....I figured Jackson had about a 25 percent chance at making it.....both 4th down plays were shorter yardage and with the way the passing game was going, I know we stood a better shot at making a first down in those 2 cases than Jackson kicking outside of 45 yards.

Actually he should have gone for it. too conservative. BUT it doesn't matter since we won.

If your kicker is Morten Anderson, then yes kick the damn FG....but when it's the other extreme, you ditch that idea and go for it.

I am not sure where Tirk gets the idea this was his one bad game, this dude has never been consistently good at kicking FGs...since day 1 when he stepped on LSU soil.

I agreed with kicking all of the field goals. I'd rather give Bama good field position in an attempt to put points on the board rather than trying to just get closer. With our defense playing so well in the 2nd half, 3 points could (and would) have been enough to win in regulation.

In defense of CJ, I won't support going for any more 40+ yd field goals again because of conservative play calling. Everyone knows that CJ can't kick FGs, he's a punter (a damn good one) and a third baseman (a damn good one.) What happened to David or, especially, Gaudet? They can't be much worse than CJ. But, I still do not agree on 3 40+ yd FGs in one game, nope, not at all..

Look, Jackson is an up & down Kicker...we don't have a replacement at this time. Kickers have to kick thier way out of their slumps IMO. We need to get Jackson's confidence level back up for the remainder of the season. I thought Miles made the smart coaching call, and honestly there is no reason to call Miles an idiot after one of the Biggest Wins in LSU history.
