The Courtyard by Marriot, just off I-10, is a short ride down Stanford to LSU and is a nice place. Right beside the Outback Steakhouse.

The players stay at Lod Cook at some point before the game, apparently (I thought it was somewhere else): my grandma was in the elevator headed to get a coke from the lobby and before she reached the bottom, she was the sole occupant of the elevator- until JR and a few other players got on wearing their track suits. She said she felt like a midget.

Anyways, I don't know what you have to do to get a Lod Cook room, but I know quite a few people that have. Best get on that now, I'm sure Fri/Sat nights during football season is impossible to get a room.

Anywhere you stay, also, you can call CATS On Demand (Capitol Area Transportation System- basically BR bus system) and they will send a shuttle-style bus to pick you up for cheap. Or, you could always do the taxi.
