Dont know if its been posted or if anyone even cares BUT.... http://www.nola.com/newslogs/tpsports/index.ssf?/mtlogs/nola_tpsports/archives/2006_12.html#214223 Bob Toledo, who led UCLA to two Pac-10 championships, will be named Tulane’s football coach tonight, according to sources close to the Green Wave athletic department. Tulane has scheduled a press conference for 6:30 today. Toledo, 60, will become Tulane’s 37th coach, replacing Chris Scelfo, who was 37-57 after eight seasons. He will join Central Florida’s George O’Leary and Texas-El Paso’s Mike Price as oldest coaches in Conference USA.
Yep, already heard all about it. LOL Some fans think he is too old, others think that with age comes wisdom. Either way, he has his work cut out for him.
Well, since he's old, he agrees with the "with the age comes wisdom" part. But he seems pleased. Just the fact that they have someone on board so hopefully they can get going on assistants etc. with recruiting coming up is a plus. He also has a lot of faith and trust in Rick Dickson's judgement. (The Tulane AD.) I agree with him on that point. He hired their basketball coach, Dave Dickerson, who I am impressed with. He also has done a hell of a lot to hold the athletic department together after Katrina. I have a lot of respect for their AD. As far as this hire, I think it will take a couple of years at least to see if it was a good decision. He has a lot of hurdles to face and a program that has to go up to get into the cellar.
What is this attack OT day!!!!:hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: Good thing I am not a Notre Lame fan, you would SOOOO be gone right now!!!! In fact you may be disqualified from my game!!!! (kidding)
