Sabanfan --- Don't take the criticism to heart. We were all Saban fans. How could anyone be a Tiger fan and not a Saban fan after all that was acomplished under his coaching? I wondered how I would feel about him once he was at Miami and found myself rooting for the Dolphins. For his most recent move to Alabama, I'm not wondering at all about my feelings; it will be one great rivalry! Although time does heal most wounds. I was very young when Dietzel left LSU, but recall the ill-feeling for him then and now, we all feel "warm and fuzzy" about Coach Dietzel. Who knows, maybe in forty years, we will again fell better about Saban, but for now, I'm an X-Sabanfan --- nothing personal to you. With that said, I'm much more excited about tonight's game and want to start thinking about a sweet victory!
Ok I need everyone in the room who would pass on $40 million dollars to raise your hand. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
CORRECTION --- Anyone in this room who is ALREADY MAKING 40 million to raise your hand if you want to dishonor your present contract and take on a new committment for about the same amount of money.
Exactly! Not like he left for more money. (It's $32 mil, 8 years, by the way) Actually a little less than what he made per year at Miami. Bottom line, he failed in the NFL. I have no problem with him re-entering the college ranks. My problem is that he's a MEDIA whore, and a complete liar. Dispute that.
Ding Dong, we have a WINNER! On a day where LSU plays ND in the Sugar Bowl this story will dominate all the headlines and the game! He is a complete failure in the NFL. I really didn't think he would do this just because of his ego but he's sustained a pretty bad bruise but who knows? Maybe he will stay at Bama for 20 years and retire as the next Bear Bryant?
Saban wasn't a failure in the NFL...look at the team he had and think of who could have coached the dolphins to more wins this year. The defense was one of the best in the NFL all year. It's hard to say whether he left for the money because there might have been something goin on at Miami that Saban wanted out from. Who knows? All we can really worry about is ourselves and not get too infatuated in this. But in 2 years, yall better give him a "proper" welcoming back to Tiger Stadium and SEC Football :hihi: .
