  3. I know it's all subjective but how is Neil Young in the top 100 much less in the top 20? He wasn't even the best in any band he's been in.

  4. My own top 10. You can shuffle the order and there are others worthy but I'll go with

    1. Stevie Ray Vaughn
    2. Eric Clapton
    3. Albert King
    4. Duane Allman
    5. Jimmy Page
    6. Jimi Hendrix
    7. Jerry Garcia
    8. Carlos Santana
    9. Freddy King
    10.Eddie Van Halen

There's another 10 or 20 I could give honorable mention to.
  5. Like I said, the list was wrong. Except for Jimi. If the greats all say he was the best you sort of have to go with that opinion.

  6. Gilmour. Hands down. no contest.

Here the thing i’ve heard said about Jimi.
People learning guitar can learn to play in the style of anyone. And once they get good, can play their own licks in the guitarists style and “sound like” that guy.
EXCEPT if that guy was Jimi.

There was never any rhyme or reason to what Jimi did. Theory can’t explain him. Most who try to copy him even say it makes zero sense.

    but it worked. Beautifully.
and nobody else can unlock that.

  7. My man, I knew someone that had an ounce of sense and knows something about music would agree with me. Richards "technically" isn't even that good. Gilmour is beyond great!
  8. Gilmour's might be technically great but he doesn't rock like Richards

  9. Different styles of music does not account for the greatness of one's ability.

  10. I rank them by who I most want to listen to.
