1. Hello to all of the LSU fans. Im hoping for a "competitive" game this weekend. Thinking about making a trip down there myself. Any info on some good eats, and a decent, relatively inexpensive, place to stay.
  2. I hope your food and lodging work out better than your hopes for the game. :hihi:
  3. Note how Im not doing any trash talking about the game. Just looking for an entertaining game.
  4. What trash could you possibly throw out that wouldn't get rammed down your throat?
  5. welcome to the board Rudy. good luck to your guys this weekedn as they will surely need it from what I know about UNT this year.
  6. You need to come down. We are currently in a public relations campaign trying to show that we do not kill visiting fans and eat their young. Contrary to recent news articles, if you're black, we will not hang you on sight. Your vehicle can be parked safely with no worries of someone burning it up or driving their truck over it.

You are assured of having a great time. Eating the most delicious food. Getting drunk without spending a dime. And, I have to mention, that our women are the most beautiful in the world.

As far as a place to stay, just show up. Someone will take you in.
  7. I guess you're rubbing off on me.
  8. Did you expect anything different from the resident know it all?

Better find a place to stay before you head down Rudy, it's been kind of tight. Hope you can make it and enjoy the tailgating.
  9. A place to stay my be tuff. As for food. Chimes is a must. It's right off campus. Others to try:

    Higher end Restaurants:
Mike Andersons for seafood. Vincents is really good - italian/cajun mix.

    Mid range:
    Walk-on's - have everything
Sammy's - Really good. Burgers, poboys, chicken fired steak, etc. Fried cheese is great.
    Georges

    Cheap but still good
Am-mart, Save more, Burger place next to the chimes (can't remember the name)

Ask around and people will point you in the right direction. On gameday I would hit Chimes or Walk-On's because they are close. Another option is to just walk through campus and make friends with tailgaters. They will give you more food than you can eat.

If it's nice weather I would find a spot on campus friday night, set up a tailgate and sleep under the stars. Did that a few times as an undergrad.
  10. Hey, Mesquite Tiger, im originally from Mesquite, TX. Where did you go to HS and what year did you graduate? Im not really worried about the assult rumors. Even though Im from TX, I think I can get some professional curteosy from the Baton Rouge PD :) Id be happy to talk about the Mean Green. But no, we are not having as great a year as we had hoped. Needless to say its disappointing.
