    mine too

Ryan is the all-time leader in no-hitters with seven, three more than any other pitcher,
he is tied with the most one-hitters, with 12,.. and pitched 18 two-hitters.

He holds the record for most strikeouts of all time with 5,714, almost 1,000 strikeouts more than #2 on the list, Randy Johnson

I watched him nearly no-hit the Giants, 16 strikeouts, he was untouchable,.. so great that I started rooting for him against my own team.

Speaking of great pitching, I saw the UNO/Mc Neese game Sunday. A McNeese reliever hit 2 UNO batters in a row. I was sitting almost right behind home plate on the 3rd row next to the guys with the radar guns.

I couldn't help it...when he got pulled, I yelled out, "Great job !! You had a 2 hitter going !!"

The radar guy from Mc Needs laughed but the pitching coach turned and pointed at me glaring.

    LOL.

Remember J.R. Richards? He was the Randy Johnson of the 70's until a stroke ended his career. Sad story.

From Louisiana. I saw him in LA pitch a one hitter against the Dodgers and stay in the game till they won 1-0 in the 13th. I guess they left him in because he was on fire.

Also had Mike Scott with an unhittable split finger and Joe Niekro with the knuckleball.

Tom Glavine of Atlanta drove me crazy. Umps always gave him a foot outside the plate. For anybody else those pitches were balls. I couldn't help but keep liking Maddux even after he was traded from the Cubs.

Were any of the 3 actually on the same staff, though? Think Niekro was 60's-early 70s and was retired by the time Richards came along. Then Scott was after Richards.
