I would be satisfied if the U.S. government would stick to the Constitution. What the other governments do is their business, if you ask me.

Sure they exist. The Flat Earth Society also exists. :insane: But they are not as large and influential as you suggest and nowhere close to convincing anybody. It's really, really paranoid to fear the "world government" advocates any more than one would fear "one religion" advocates. There is always somebody with a cause. Monckton earns a living by lecturing his cause.
