    wjray .-.. ..- -.- .

Donna Douglas. Many years ago I worked for a newspaper and interviewed her. You're right, the sweetest lady you'd ever want to met and, yeah, she must have been in her 60s then too but still MILFY hot, even though she'd put on a few pounds.

    Mammy's Old Timey Possum

    1 possum
    salt
    water
    all-purpose flour
    black pepper
    paprika
    vegetable oil

Cook possum in lightly-salted water until tender. Remove from broth, reserving broth, and drain pieces. Dredge in flour seasoned with pepper and paprika. Fry in hot oil. Skim grease from broth and use to make gravey.

Serve possum and gravy with baked sweet potatoes.

    Yield 2 or 3 servings.

I would think that if you cut the pieced in bit size portions you could get away with serving this at a office pot-luck, I would think that it would end up looking like something at a Chinese buffet.

Growing up we had a lady in our neighborhood that fed cats whatever scraps she had at her back door. She had a couple of her own and many more joined the feast. As you might expect, the possums joined in and their path to her house usually was across the fence between our and another neighbor's yard. Our dog had a propensity to corner these vile and ugle things up the trees in our yard. Once I heard the barking I would grab my trusty Benjamin pellet gun and pop the possum out of the tree. It didn't matter if the possum was dead before it ever hit the ground, my dog would get into it and tear it to pieces. I hate possums and I hate cats !!!!!!!!!!!!!
