Not the usual "repair and beware" in the second half we have ALL become accustom too. :tigereye::miles::tigereye:
I'll tell you guys one thing. If it is somehow proven that Miles has been limiting Crowton and taking over play calling then he will have lost another supporter. He should have been turning Crowton loose not handcuffing him.
It was conditional, only IF Crowton is run off. I'm not ready to go there, and I support Miles, but I think that would be a big mistake and the begining of the end. JMO
Oh no...nooooooooo! This in not good. Very DiNardoish as said earlier. Our offensive playcalling has been getting more atrocious with each game. Almost as atrocious as my work habits like typing on some message board while at work. What happened to me? Anyway, back to this rumor... I really believe that Miles feels we can just run over teams and be more physical no matter how many people they put in the box. And I do see where some of the calls lately are going in that exact direction. Except for throwing a bomb on 3rd and 1. That's even dumber. Please...say it ain't so.
Good Lord, half of the people on this forum have bemoaned not "relying" on our running game half of the season. Look, I have no idea is Miles is or in not handcuffing Crowton (whoa, that sounds kinky); however, our QB situation has crippled our offense this season. Was Crowton the one calling the same sort of pass over and over that Lee couldn't throw to anyone wearing an LSU jersey? If so, perhaps there is an issue. What I saw on Friday was an Arkansas team that keyed in on Jefferson's run in the second half--and promptly stopped us cold. Some of those runs by Jefferson might've been pass plays for all we really know, but he seems to have a tendency (like most young running QBs) to tuck the ball and run, rather than waiting out a play.
damn thats tough. Chris Peterson - Boise St. Mike Leach - we would have to get a real solid d.c. Charlie Strong - tough one because has no head coaching experience Gary Patterson - TCU kind of old school Jack Del Rio - for some reason his name always comes up. i really dont know.....someone that is proven this time.
Come on, this is just another rumor! About half turn out to be BS. Crowton is a former head coach who is looking to be a head coach again. Nobody expected him to stay more than two or three years before finding some greener pastures. He'll have a better springboard off a championship season, but he's probably getting offers from smaller schools already. But when some school on his short list calls, he'll go and it has nothing to do with Les at all. It doesn't matter when top coordinators come and go. LSU can attract the best names in the business. But we need to get into the hunt quickly, before the top candidates start dealing with other suitors.
I have not heard anything about Crowton leaving and I would say he is staying at this point until I hear differently. Could be possible if the right opportunity comes his way. However, coach Stud is being looked at to take over as a head coach at his alma mater, Bowling Green.
If GC is moving on to be a HC, then thats completely different and I wish him well. LSU will be get another good one!:LSU231::geaux:
