1. So when is this game gonna be played? I think we are in a BAD situation right now. We are going to be coming into the ASU game with no experience. This is gonna hurt us.

What makes them think we're gonna be able to play next weekend? Things aren't going to be better in a week, they'll be worse. Our hemsi, firefighters, etc. will need to be in NOLA next week also...so what's the difference?

We may be looking at opening against Tennessee..
  2. nah... we will play next week...
  3. But what's the difference between this week and next week is my question. NOLA won't be up and ready next week so why is it "ok" to play next week?
  4. I hear what you are saying PGTiger, but there comes a time when you have to start to rebuild and look forward to brighter days. In spite of the overwhelming tragedy that surrounds us, we need something to lift our spirits, and our Tigers are going to provide it against Arizona State. I wish I could be there to see it, but I'll be glued to the TV.
  5. exactly...
the towers in NY ARE NOT fixed, but there are still things going on in NY
  6. I want the ASU game to be played next week. All I am saying is if we are going to play next week, then why not play this week?
  7. Why aren't you grasping the immediate problems Baton Rouge has right now? I see you live in Alabama, but don't you have a television set? Many of the residence here do not have electricity restored yet.
  8. Please go read the thread with O'keefe's comments, then maybe you will understand. Also, they haven't yet been able to reach and find out the welfare of many family members of the LSU players yet.
  9. 1. Power isnt up in half of Baton Rouge and the metro area
    2. The LSU solution is a quick and dirty fix for the problem. Expect to see temporary facilities being set up by the state in places like the fair grounds, etc.
    3. Possible student shifts. To open up evac places, the school system could transfer students out of several school to open them up for refugees.
    4. Other places in the state are being prepared. Any decent sized city (Houma, Gonzales, etc.) has a little Civic center built... as the non-N.O. refugees clear out, the N.O. refugees will fill these up.
  10. I think it is the right move to cancel the game. From what I hear from callers there is still a lot of areas in the city without electricity. Having said that, not playing the game will def hurt LSU. They will go in to AZST cold and the game would essentially like opening last year against OSU. Keep those NOLA and outlying parishes folks in your thoughts in prayers. They are devestated right now. Also, think about those in MS and Alabama. I am very proud of the way this state has rallied those who are struggling right now. All the shelters and volunteers in BR is amazing. Keep up the good work.
