  2. You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to NoLimitMD again.

  3. I got rep points taken away for stating my opinion about all the bandwagon fans on this forum. Like I give a chit about rep points.
  4. It's way, way premature to talk of such things seriously BUT...if the current top 3 stays that way for most of the season (if Tenn wins at Fla, they'll jump LSU, but of course would be jumped right back with a LSU win the next week) then there is a chance that LSU does to UT what UT did to Cal last year.

Why not? A plucky LSU team that runs the table will be a media darling. Even if it comes down to both team's respective conference title games, an LSU gets the edge in the "who had the tougher conference title game" department.

UT likely gets either Colorado or a surprising yet still uninspiring Iowa St team in Houston. Crowd will be overwhelmingly Longhorn-esque.

Contrast this with LSU going to Atlanta...to face Georgia.

Karma, Mack Brown. Ain't it a bee-yotch? :hihi:
  5. Our defense needs to make some major adjustments, but folks, ASU had a great passing attack. They actually did.

Our team played with heart. Heart that was often missing last year when we played uninspired for the entire season under one Nick Saban.

Get over the criticisms and look at what was positive last night. Besides, Saban's defense didn't really get good until the '03 season when it was absolutely incredible. Last year, it was lackluster, but usually effective.

Remember 2001 when we won the SEC for the first time since '88? We had to outscore a number of opponents that year--because people could pass on us.
  6. Well, I wasnt thinking national title anyway. But, good win for the Tigers. Gone are the days of the Tigers winning defensive struggles, looks like we got some shootouts in the future. That defense was pretty damn bad last nite. Not often in the past few years have we seen LSU play so poorly on D. On a better note, not often in the past few years has LSU's offense put up 35 against a good team. Having said that though, Special Teams saved LSU's Ass last nite. I never thought I'd be saying that. Special teams keyed the win. Without the two blocks we'd be talkin about LSU being 0-1. As is, enjoy the week off and rock the Valley in two weeks. They are def gunna need that big time home field advantage with Tenn coming to town. :geauxtige

  7. Exactly. Very well said.

  8. We played like a team who hadn't played a game!

You can't possibly say we did worse last night than we did against Oregon St.

    We will be FINE!
  9. Very true. I remember getting taken to the woodshed a few times in '02 (Auburn, Alabama, Arkansas). And last year, OSU ran a similar west-coast style offense that ASU did last night. And they pretty much did what they wanted to, but were far less talented than ASU. Coincidentally, we were lucky to pull that game out, too.
  10. If we played last night like we did against Oregon, they would have handed our butt to us!
