1. How high was it from where your ball lay to the top of the bunker?
  2. About 2 feet I'd guess, it was easily the most ridiculous lie I'd ever had and I wish I'd have taken a picture.
  3. Sounds like it was one of those once in a lifetime shots. Hindsight being 20 - 20, the best option was probably to try and hit it out at an angle away from the green.
  4. . ..
What is the rule if a dog or some other animal or bird were to pick the ball up and drop it on the green?

  5. Yeah I thought about that but there really wasn't any way to get a decent shot on it the way it was suspended. In essence it would have been the same as taking an unplayable because after I popped it out of there I was still in the bunker but with a much better opportunity to get out.
  6. I think this happened once, a bird picked up someone's ball and flew off with it.
  7. I've never encountered that, but I suspect you would play your next shot from the original ball position.
  8. I have heard that something like that happened before. Only instead of improving the golfer's position it made it worse. The player had to hit from the new spot. Maybe it was a squirrel or a fox.
  9. When in doubt, consult Google:
