1. here's how a joint committee of AP sports writers accessed the situation in Seattle regarding Peyton Manning...

    "Seattle has its franchise running
    back in Marshawn Lynch, and
seems to be solid on the outside with
    receivers Sidney Rice, Mike Williams,
Doug Baldwin and tight end Zach
Miller. The offensive line is young
    and improved, but the remaining
question for Seattle's offense is at
    quarterback.
    Tarvaris Jackson toughed his way
through a painful pectoral injury for
more than half of last season, but
    was never overly impressive.
    Manning could be the answer.
Still, Jackson has never been given
much of a chance as a starter and
played fairly well while battling his
injury and was respected in the
    locker room."
  2. and here is how the situation in Seattle for Manning was described by Michael Silver (Yahoo! NFL.Analyst since 2007, before that he had been with Sports Illustrated as a senior writer and a lead NFL writer since 1994)

    "If Manning is looking
to recede from the spotlight, at least to the
extent that he can, the NFL’s most remote
locale is an enticing prospect. I like Seattle’s
running game (especially with the team
having signed Marshawn Lynch to a
    lucrative, four-year deal) and overall
potential, but there are plenty of things that
make me dubious about this arrangement.
Manning might be able to coexist with coach
    Pete Carroll and offensive coordinator
Darrell Bevell (who had mixed results amid
the Brett Favre madness in Minneapolis),
but he’d almost certainly regard offensive
line coach Tom Cable as a clueless clown.
Plus, he’d have to face that 49ers defense
twice a year, which doesn’t sound all that
fun. Oh, and this just in: It rains up there. A
    lot."
  3. Sooooo, how will all this affect Flynn?
  4. poorly. I'd think...but Miami was the other one in the bidding war for him and they just lost a Pro Bowl WR
  5. honestly, I hate the Cowboys but if Flynn was their QB (he is from East Texas), I would be a huge fan and I think he'd be awesome there.
  6. Seattle can be a force in that division. They would have beaten the doors off of SF last year if Flynn had been their QB. They were dreadful behind center.
  7. Seattle is definitely a better landing spot than Miami atm. Good defense, good receivers, good running back. O line is mediocre, but they're not going to kill Flynn either
  8. Congrats Flynn and Good Luck!
  9. Well, I sure don't want to see Flynn in dallas. I want them to keep losing.
  10. I just would rather Flynn not have wound up on the same team as Pete Carroll. It interferes with my rooting against them in a wide variety of circumstances. I heard 8 digits of guaranteed money, though? Good for him.
