I have been on business in Texas since the end of October so forgive me if this has been discussed previously...Driving back to BR on Wed. I heard Buddy Songy alluding to Fisher and Miles not getting along and that Miles calls the plays in one half and Jimbo the other. Is this true or is Songy just putting that out there for good radio. He also insinuated that Fisher may leave after the season. Again is there truth to the rumor. Thanks in advance.
They had some issues with playcalling etc in a couple of games early in the season. No hint of those issues since, I guess winning and playing good cures all.
Playing "great" is preferred by those who know what exceptional talent LSU has this season. Playing ~G~R~E~A~T~ means dominating teams and running up 40+ per game with a vertical passing attack and devastating rushing (after they're on their heels) and playcalling that confuses opposing defenses and DCs. LSU's offensive playcalling this season gets a ****ing "D" on the report card, and a "C" if you're a "soft touch" and an LSU homer. I love to listen to that **** stirring Songy ... he's a real piece of work ... If the story is true, and I doubt it is ... I'm guessing Miles is calling the plays in the first half ... after the Tennessee game :hihi: What's the real reason behind LSU's offensive inconsistency ... sputtering, and not demolishing teams like they should be? Likely a combination of factors but none acceptable with LSU's current talent level. MANY SUSPECT MILES IS MEDDLING IN THE PLAYCALLING MORE THAN HE SHOULD AND FISHER DOESN'T HAVE A FREE HAND. I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO FIND OUT.
ramah , This team is not as great as you and I would like for it to be . The defense gives a lot , the offense well it is not really burning up the field . Exceptional talent LSU has maybe , but look around, everyone now has talent , and until our QB can pick a defense apart 5 to 7 yards at a time ,to set up the 15 to 25 yard pass ,catch ,and run like hell to the end zone. We will have to depend on a defense that wins games for us but gets real tired in the 4th . You tell me what it is , is it the offensvie Line , they are not pushing anyone around ,the running backs do not have the room to run . That is not a coaching problem but a player problem . This speed I keep hearing about where is it , it is never open , it is never in the open field with the ball , why is the exceptional talent not showing up . This team has never been turned on or am I missing something ?? Exceptional Talent = NEEDS TO SHOW UP ++++ Who did you want to be the LSU Coach ???
Have a friend that is friends with Jimbo.....there are problems. I don't believe the 1/2 and 1/2 play calling. That was probably just lagniappe.
According to Miles, Fisher calls all of the plays and Miles only helps with the game plan during the week. Now, Miles might overrule some of Fisher's calls when he sends them in, I'm not sure. With Fisher being used to being under a defensive minded coach, I thought there might be problems with an offensive minded guy coming in. But this is high stakes football, there are almost always going to be some conflict between the coaches. The question is how much & how is it affecting the team. Jimbo may very well be gone after this season, but I doubt it will be because of Miles.
I know the game was ugly and some of the others have been also but we are 10-1 and playing in the SECCG. Surely you are being sarcastic.......right?
