1. Clay Spencer, 6'6" 285lb OT from Baton Rouge. Not very strong right now, but good frame & the kid is only 16 he'll get much stronger.

  2. I'm glad it was an OL because we usually end up in Texas getting one that Mack Brown couldn't lure or didn't want etc. I don't know very much about him except that he is listed as #10 on Dandy Don's list. Is he actually 6' 6'' now, because he is listed as 6'-4.5'' on the profile. He does seem somewhat lacking on his bench press, but kids that young can gain a good deal of strength in a year or two. I'm just happy we got a verbal because of the position he plays and I have confidence we can spot talent at the position. I hope he moves up the rivals rankings just like Dyworczak?, excuse spelling, did after we received his verbal.
  3. There's a big OT in Texas that has offers from all over the place (not sure if he has one from UT though), and he favors the Tigers right now. Can't remember his name right now...
It says 6'6" on Rivals... I don't know which is right.

Rankings haven't come out yet, but given how weak he is & how early he commited I would guess he'll be a 3 star. Whether he moves up in the rankings will depend on how he performs his senior year. Hopefully he does move up.
  4. Parso, thanks for being on top of things and keeping us informed. :thumb:
  5. Great news. The first of many.
  6. This was my first year to really follow recruiting. I found it to be intense and exciting, and was glad when it ended, because I didn't know how much more I could take. Now you're telling me 2 1/2 weeks later, we're at it again?! I don't know how much of this I can stand!
