1. Re: RB/FB Alex Singleton

    Great kid.

I would have it no other way (in terms of him respecting Tulsa).
  2. Re: RB/FB Alex Singleton

Says it will probably come down to LSU and Tulsa.

I still believe this is a foregone conclusion and he will be a Tiger.
  3. Re: RB/FB Alex Singleton

So, let's get this straight. We have a 3-star RB/FB with a CO that is still deciding between LSU and Tulsa, and a 5-star RB who looks like a young Adrian Peterson who does not have a CO but really wants to be a Tiger. Now, don't get me wrong, it sounds like Singleton is a quality guy and a stud, the next Jacob Hester, etc, etc. But, C. Michael sounds like a hard worker with great quality by all accounts I have read, and gets the ball in the end zone. This does not seem to meet the logic test to me. I do agree with others comments that the player should visit before a CO, and to not go by the rating systems, etc, but come on, we need to offer CM, too.
  4. Re: RB/FB Alex Singleton

We already have 2 stud RB's in this class. We don't have a FB for the future.
  5. Re: RB/FB Alex Singleton

I believe I may have heard that somewhere before...:thumb:
  6. Re: RB/FB Alex Singleton

Maybe we do. What about this walk on Steele Hull? We've had walk-on FB's before.
  7. Re: RB/FB Alex Singleton

If we did, our coaches would not be so insistant on taking a FB in this class despite limited scholarships & the high quality of guys we're in the running for.
  8. Re: RB/FB Alex Singleton

Ran for 122 yards on 14 carries last against West St. John.
  9. Re: RB/FB Alex Singleton

I feel like we have enough players that could be converted to the FB position to where we will be ok.

Ridley may end up there. Prater as well. FB is so much a non-factor in the Crowton offense.

I felt all along we have bigger fish to fry that to get a FB in this class. Same goes for the punter we picked up.
