New Orleans has always ranked # 1 or #2 in homicide rates in the country. In fact, it's such a problem that the NFL decided to hold more Super Bowls there than any other city (Miami just tied NOLA this year). Political parties hold their conventions there. The women's final 4. Jazz Fest. Mardi Gras with nearly 3 times the number of tourists the NBA All-Star game generates. NFL playoff games. NCAA National Championships in football and Basketball. The Arena Bowl. 3 college bowl games this coming season. Several Cruise lines depart from the city every day. You know the tourist tyoe of things that nobody goes to South Bend for?

Dude, you're right, all the gay guys would be checking you out because you're probably a guy. If you were a cute girl, you wouldn't be chatting up on an internet right now. Instead, some guy would be taking you out and paying for your dinner if you were a cute girl.

And, I'm not sure how relevant it is to point out the popularity of the KKK in Indiana and what that has to do with ND. ND is a private university, and gets students from every state. In fact, in 1924, ND students confronted and fought against KKK, helping to diminish the popularity of the KKK.

Wait a minute. So far, on this thread, I've heard people deny that NO is particulary dangerous, that the homicide rate only shot up after Katrina, and now that NO has always had one of the highest rates in the country. Geez, people, make up your mind.

And, as I pointed out earlier, but perhaps my point was too subtle, is that while crime may have always been an issue with NO, it had been primarily contained into certain ghetto regions. But, Katrina hit those ghettos the hardest and you've seen that crime disperse into more touristy areas that had been relatively safer.

Let me help you out........once again. I am NO dude. And the gay guys in the shower would still be looking at me so you can safely resume your shower now but don't drop the soap just yet. bitter darling, even on your knees you couldn't sniff this tall blonde Cali Girl.

I did not point out any relevance between the KKK and nd. HATE, similar to that espoused by Hardaway and embraced (hope that word doesn't make you too uncomforable) by you is the hallmark of the KKK and they are quite prevalent in Indiana. But since you brought it up, what is the ratio of black students at nd in the general population versus say, the football team? I imagine your academic recruiters work very hard to gain a diverse student population. :nope:

1924? Where were those students in 1973 when AD's effigy was hanging from several trees?

I wouldn't be so sure of that. You got to admit, that was kinda gay when JR in that SI article was talking how cute BQ's eyes were.
