LSU jumped 6 spots to #5. Basically looks like the BCS rankings except for OU high in the rankings. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/powerranking?season=2006&week=14
OU has really made a miraculous turnaround to their season. After yielding over 500 yards to Oregon, their D has averaged just 232 yards per game in the last 9 games, which is better than any of the top 10 defensive teams in the nation over that period of time. I think an Oklahoma win could vault them to #10 in the BCS, knocking Notre Dame down to #11, for what that's worth.
All left up to the voters, if they bump the Sooners up a notch or two, then they will overtake Notre Dame. Go Sooners! Plus we all know Nebraska still sucks and doesn't deserve to be anywhere close to a BCS bowl game.
Very surprised by OU. Especially after they lost AP for the season, I thought they were toast. Stoops is a good coach and has talent there obviously. Watch out for them next season.
I read somewhere to today that Bob Stoops will get some offers to the NFL this Summer and might be more receptive this time around. I guess that would eliminate him from the Bama rumors. The article also stated that Ferentz would entertain offers for a couple more years. Does anyone think there is a chance that Stoops will be gone next year?
