1. Great post and yes, great season!!
  2. I've enjoyed every season since 1958.
  3. Damn, did they use facemask in 1958 or did they still wear those leather hats?
  4. All I followed in 1958 was Romper Room.
  5. My dad was 8 years old in 1958
  6. Loved that show except for those of us who parents where idiots and named their kids odd and strange names (See other thread)
We never once got our names called in the "I see (name here)" thing through the looking glass.
Kind of like the dejection of a 5 year old in the store looking through the wall of small bike license plates frantically looking for your name only to be once again left out in the cold.... Seeing your friends Mike, David, Steve and Lee riding around with their own personalized name plate on their bike. But me.. No....

Sorry do I sound bitter ?????

  7. Yes I am enjoying this season for just what it is. I don't buy into much of the pre season ya ya that dogs things that I can't control. I just watch and listen plus I have faith in Les to do the right thing.

I have found that if I let the football guys do the football things that they know how to do it takes the pressure off me. I used to want to call full time football coaches and let them know what they needed to do. Now with a little age and a little wisdom I know my place.

I am that guy with a gut and a beer cheering my only team to victory and enjoying each minute and even enjoying the bad times also. Without the Ole Miss and Tenn games you can't enjoy the Oregon games as much !!

I don't worry about winning I just look forward always to my LSU Tigers playing with passion and heart. They will do all they can to win so what else can a fan like me want?

    Geaux Tigers

  8. I was 9, but it was a National Championship year and LSU was all the men talked about during the season. A kid like me ate that stuff up.
  9. Had to be better than eatin ol "Chief".
  10. There was no dining at the Y.
