1. How much more are you enjoying this season compared to the last few seasons? I am as excited as I was in '07 if not more. After years of offensive woes, we seem to be rolling. No offsides, 12 men on the field, illegal procedure, illegal shift and all kinds of other woes. We actually had over 200 yards passing last game with no interceptions. Our running game is dominate and our offensive line is the best in years. We have a true starting qb that seems to be leading this team. Our play callers have given this team an identity and no short side options ! Our defense is young, strong and fast. They are playing hard nose beat your teeth out football. We smoked a PAC-12 team like they were toolame, and they were ranked 3rd! We are in beast- mode! We are getting respect in the press and are ranked amongst the best.
Our coach chose lsu over his dream job. That means we have a coach that thinks LSU is his real dream job. We're set for a championship run. All is great in tigerland! What's your take on it:geauxtige

  2. I think your take on things is spot on. Although it is early in the season, there is a certain something in the air for sure!
  3. x100!
  4. Add me to the list ... I'm lovin me some tigers this year. The D is IMO, better than last year, the O is better than last year, the coaches are better than last year ... the whole nine yards.

And what makes it even betta ..... I think next year is going to be ditto! This is an exciting time to be a LSU fan.
  5. No matter how this season ends up, no matter if we go 12-0 or 8-4, as long as we keep playing like we have been I don't care.

I can live with another team beating us straight up, I just don't want us to beat ourselves due to stupid penalties, turnovers, clock management issues, etc.

The thing I'm actually MOST proud of with the tigers so far through 2 games is how everyone looks like they know what they're doing. The play calling doesn't look ecliptic, Substitutes don't look like jumbled messes, and IIRC we've only had 1 delay of game penalty in 8 quarters and that was on a punt.
  6. Me Too!:thumb:
  7. I haven't pounded down the advil nearly as much as the past few seasons . . . It is still early.

  8. Let's see, what is the major difference this year vs the last 3-4? Uh, uh, oh yeah, Crowton's gone.

I'm with you. Frustrations are at a minimum, anticipation is at a maximum.

  9. So far, so good. It is early, although I have more confidence in the offense w/o JJ in there. The D looks like the real deal, better than last year. Special teams looking good overall as well. The team has the potential to do great things this year.

  10. It definitely seems like they improved in many areas. Hopefully they get the W against the cowbells on Thursday, and we can watch other games on Saturday without worrying about the tigers. (Sooners and Seminoles come to mind)
