There's a difference in my mind between fighting for this & that & the way his "followers" interpreted his remarks which resulted in the Capitol being stormed.

Anyone who listens to the speech live wasnt at the riot because, you know, the riot started before his speech....

here's the deal CO ... it is a matter of interpretation.
YES ... Trump encouraged his crowd to protest the election, but he never encouraged violence. It is our constitutional right to protests perceived wrongs. It's no different from the Democrats encouraged protest over George Floyd, but they didn't exactly say burn the place down. All Trump had to say was the election was stolen, over and over again, and there were going to be elements, some not even Trump supporters, who would take advantage of the situation.

A mob is a mob. Even when they are "mostly peaceful", there will be the 10% or so who are not. Most times, the violent one's aren't there for the protest, but to use the protest as cover for their own agenda. You know this!! Likewise ... there were elements in the crowd, using it for cover. John Soloman is no Trump Supporter, but he was arrested (btw .. that make all but two).

    Let's get something straight .....

Insurrection: - to revolt against authority
Revolt - to rise up in rebellion against authority
Rebellion ... a violent resistance to a government or ruler.

NOWHERE did Trump incite an insurrection or revolt or rebellion against the GOVERNMENT. Trumps only call was to oppose the election results, and to protest the certification of of the EC vote. That is NOT an insurrection, revolt or rebellion against the Government or Authority. The PEOPLE of Congress are not the Government. IF .. the US has reached a point where the PEOPLE in Government are superior to the GOVERNMENT itself, then the country has already lost. It is a throw back to the aristocracy of the monarch systems. It's like the Communist Party, where members of the Communist Party are superior and privileged above everyone else.

To say what Trump did was an insurrection, as the Democrats claim, is for the Democrats to ADMIT they have bastardized the Constitution and should be thrown out. They have crowned themselves the aristocracy to rule over the people, like dictators. Each day, this is proving to be correct.

Read those bolded letters over and over. Trump didn't do anything wrong ... a small percent of his supporters, "interpreted is remarks". How can you fault Trump for a person's interpretation.

When Democrats say fight for the right ... do they mean bring out the billy clubs.
