The media has been saying something very curious right under all of our stupid noses for two months. Over and over, the media, and even Barr, have said, "There is no evidence of widespread fraud." So, they admit there was fraud; they tell us there was fraud. But it wasn't widespread. True...6 or 7 states did all of the damage. And if it didn't occur, show us that it didn't...but don't tell us. But I detest all of the hatred being tossed about all over social media. I believe I am going to take a very long break from Facebook. Tonight, two of my extremely liberal cousins, who live in New Mexico and Utah, jumped all over my 79-year-old mother on Facebook, calling her a stupid, backwards Southern racist. These miserable bitches were born in Louisiana themselves, but they are dead to me. Was this how it felt when brother vs. brother happened in the Civil War? Look at the entire shitshow that was 2020, starting with the COVID hysteria that shut down small businesses, preventive and elective medical procedures, schools, and churches. Then, the summer of BLM riots...wait...I mean "mostly peaceful" protests. And, now, we've come to a point when we cannot be civil to each other anymore. Is this the best we can do? Delusional Trump and Demented Biden...with Harris waiting in the wings for the old fool to die. After 250 years, THIS is what our country has come to? What will be left for my children and grandchildren?
Remember when there was a time when folks didn't care what other people thought and told busy bodies to mind their own business? And the world got along. Now everyone is so afraid of being seen as "unlikable", so they take sides. If you allow it, those days will be gone and to me, that is a world worth fighting for.
But if one fights against it, do they get canceled? Called a domestic terrorist? 20 years ago, we laughed at political correctness because it was so ludicrous. Well, here it is. What next?
I don't do social media, and I have had to all but stop reading/watching/listening to the news. There is just so much "in your face" propaganda I can take. Even on this site, there are certain posters I just skip ... not reading it, because it is just a parrot of the dishonest news media who are echoing the Democrat Party. Was actually telling the wife the other day ... I"m going to try and recapture who I was 40 years ago when I was in my 20s.. I didn't watch the news, the internet didn't exist, nor did cell phones. Seems I was a lot more at ease.
I fight it by ignoring it. It's just words. If I show them I am not bothered by it, all they can do is be pissed and run off. We are gonna lose some and win new, but in any case, cutting the social media should be anyone's priority. There is nothing good anymore coming from it. The news is worse. Pretty sad when you gotta rely on what the Brits say to get some level of accuracy of what is going on.
