I do know that the great majority were Trumpers and went directly there from his rally. At the rally he encouraged the crowd to go to the capital and “stop the steal” as he called it. I also know from people already identified there were right wing militants from Proud Boys and other militia groups who have high public profiles. There are pictures interviews and videos all over the internet and media that shows most of those present were following Trump. They were the same people pictured having trashed congressional offices and other parts of the capital.
