  2. Likely results from being drug through the coals for 4 years. I mean, what's a dude gonna do when he was set up for failure from the previous administration? When Obama signaled the need to sabotage the Trump presidency by suggesting Russia, then Comey ran with it and the fake dossier was written and paid for by Hillary and the DNC, and served up to the media, it all snowballed from there. Orange man bad was a label established by the left and every dick head imaginable who didn't like his tweets, bought the bullshit, hook and line.

Trump never had a chance and had to fight the fight the only way he could and damn near won it anyway. When you have to navigate your way through 150 million lies, tends to scorn a nigga.

Im my very prestige neighborhood of wanna be elite white MF'ers, all the election sighns are coming down. I noticed yesterday that the 2 dozen BLM signs were taken down with them. All these BLM signs I HAD to drive by for months, now being taken down with all the Biden/ Harris signs. Why is that? The left stop caring about negros now??

  3. I don’t disagree with your summation, but thought that trump stubbed himself in the toe when he didn’t have to

I wonder if he’s thinking through the potential of going 3rd party....

    he’ll start with 71 million....

  7. I'm just sayin man, Trump HAD to fight the swamp. They literally started the fight and it cost good people their entire reputations and possibly, their freedom. What they did to Michael Flynn is the most unamerican shit ever, but that was weeks into Trumps term. That was a signal that he HAD to fight his way through his term and guess what, he fought.

I cannot excuse his behavior and you bet, didn't help at all during the debates where he had the perfect opportunity to cement another 4 years by shutting the fuck up. But there he stood, next to the same fella that supported the shitty bed Obama and Hillary made for him. A peaceful transfer of office from Obama never occured and folks wanna wonder why he was so easily triggered? I don't condone the behavior that cost him the debate, but I kinda get why the brother was irked and went full offense. Fighting the fight finally cost him.

  9. no need for evidence, the word infers means you didnt get info directly. what i said is by definition true. its false to claim that someone who has info must have inferred it from somewhere.

    you said:

"He had to infer it from somewhere"

this is not true. you are excluding without evidence the possibility that he got the info some way other than inferring it himself.
  10. This is a good post and I agree with just about everything you've said here. I suppose where we diverge is that I believe Trump has stoked those divisions for his own personal political gain. Trump didn't create these problems and I know that, they've existed for hundreds of years in some cases. I think past Presidents from both parties have done their best to temp those divisions down, reject hate groups forcefully and appeal to the better angels. A lot of people call Trump racist and I've certainly believed some of his actions were. But I don't necessarily think that he is a racist. I don't know him so I shouldn't judge one way or the other. What I can see is that he, like other politicians before him, used the politics of division to propel himself. George Wallace was very effective with this approach.

I do agree with you that these problems are not going to go away when Biden takes office. Neither will this virus, regardless of what you or I think of it. Biden will have precious little time to celebrate and will have to hit the ground running. Given all the challenges that you've laid out, and more, he better.

I share your concern for America. I love this place and I believe in the principles that our founding fathers laid out. In truth, we Americans are not all that different from one another. On a day to day basis I bet you get up thinking about work, your family, maybe saving for retirement or next summers vacation, saving for college, dealing with how to help aging parents and other kitchen table issues like that than you do about politics. I know I do. I'd bet most Americans do too. Our values aren't really all that different either. My wife and I are democrats. In our will, if something happened to both of us our children would go to one of two of our siblings families, both of which are very conservative. But we didn't pick them because of their politics...we picked them because we knew they would give them every opportunity and level of support that we would ourselves. This is true of families all over the country though.....so our values cannot be all that different. Where we diverge in my opinion is that our politicians and our media have more to gain by feeding stereotypes of the other side to their listeners/followers. Think about it...a few kooky far right conservatives would like to make us a theocracy and the liberal media and politicians report that and harp on it until it seems like all Republicans are theocrats. By that same token, the nuts on the far left would like to make us a socialists and the conservative media and politicians talk that up as though we are all socialists. It's just a stereotype. I am a very happy capitalist. Capitalism has been very good to me and my family and my children are hard workers who understand the value of a dollar and that we acquire things through hard work and saving, not by extending your hand. I know the dangers of true socialism but I can also see that while the term socialism is applied to anything that provides for you and your family but it is never applied to the tax payer bailouts of big corporations with very little, if any, accountability. Lastly, I believe that our politics are hurt by the fact that no one is allowed to have a nuanced position on any of the bigger issues, when in fact I think that all of us do. It is always made to seem that you are a baby killer on one extreme or a women's rights hater on the other. Truth be told most have very nuanced positions on this subject but our politicians never get beneath the surface of it to discuss those nuances. I think we could find a lot more common ground if we did. I too have three daughters. I too worry about their futures and what they'll be up against. Two have graduated and are in college and I worry about them everyday. Somehow we have to stop seeing each other as the enemy and that will require some trust on behalf of both parties.
