:geaux::crystal::helmet: No idea. One thing that could influence him is the fact that, according to the Advocate article I believe, he and his family are very glad to be back in La. His kids are pretty happy at school, etc. Don't really know how big a factor that is, but we'll see. :geauxtige:champs::LSU231:

Seems to be a lot more rumblings that he's headed to Tennessee as a line coach.

Just a guess, but I think he'd take the LSU DLine position over Tennessee if he had his choice of both.

At this point, he doesn't have the choice. We'll see if that changes.

I bet if we pushed for him harder, he'd come to LSU int he same compacity.

I've been sitting back, and reading... and thinking. I don't have any inside info to the situation, but it seems to me that if Coach O was being considered at UT as a recruiting coordinator only, I bet LSU could get him in the same capacity with him being a position coach as well.

Maybe I'm just being optimistic. I can't fault Ed O for his past, because that is just how a lot of people are in south central Louisiana--where I am from. He's just a good ole' boy. I like his game day intensity a lot. That is something Miles is lacking, and I know that a lot of players actually enjoy his laid back style during games, but I always liked an enthusiastic and energetic coach in games.

Will Muschamp, I think, was instrumental in our NC season in 2003. I don't know if this was due to his intensity or Saban's defensive prowess.

That's what I think too. But you can't discount the fact that he and Lane Kiffin have pretty strong ties. That may something to consider. On the flip-side, Orgeron could have some big pull with Bobby Hebert.

I hope so. Just to show where I'm getting stuff from:

I'm sure the ties to Kiffin would be a big draw to Coach O, but I think the staying in Louisiana would be bigger.

But again, he doesn't have that choice right now.

Given Monte Kiffens age a possible DC in waiting offer could be in the cards for the Ogre.
