Reading Coach O's comments in the Advocate today it is very obvious he wants to get back to coaching in college or he doesn't feel cut out to coach in the Not For Long.

That's the feel I get too from reading about the situation. I think he likes the interaction with the parents and students and not the paid slackers he has now. That's why he would be a good fit with recruiting. He won't have to cheat at LSU like Ole Miss.
teachers' :lol: Of all the mentioned candidates out there Coach O is my favorite. Because 1) he's a great recruiter, 2) He's a good footbaw coach and 3) he would be fun to talk about. He took over a program with a bare cupboard and built them up by recruited some very good players, including Jevan Snead, who unfortunately he never got to use. He never had a good year because he never had a quarterback and we know how that goes. He is the riskier candidate for sure which is why he won't get the job, but he would be my pick.
OK, a few days ago several posters, including myself, made the comment that "Coach O hates LSU". I remember reading that somewhere - last season, I think. Is this true? If so, does anyone know why he dislikes LSU? If not true, where did this come from? I'm really curious - and I hate to be promulgating false information. Any thoughts? :geaux:
