According to cnnsi.com, Domanick Williams was released today. Maybe the Saints will pick him up. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/football/nfl/03/23/bc.fbn.texans.carr.ap/index.html
Too good to be a 3rd string HB. Stupid move by the Texans cutting two solid young players when their o-line is the problem.
He's still hurt, will require another surgery, and very well may never play again. Stupid move to cut him?
Williams Knee is shot and will in all probability not ever get any better. It is basically bone on bone and produces heavy swelling as he trys to practice more on it. The Texans may have made many bone headed moves but if Williams could play they would not have cut him. They kept him and paid him all of last season in the hopes of him returning to the player he was his first few years. Fact is DW just doesn't want to face the inevitable. Hope he was smart with his money. B
He's pretty much full of crap in the article, but this sort of explain anyway: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2716848
Makes sense to me. Older-brothers-Fathers last name was "Davis". Mothers maiden name is "Williams". Never felt comfortable with the name Davis. Changed it to Williams. Unless he's lying about something I don't see how he's full of crap.
My mistake, I didn't mean about why he changed his name...he's more than entitled to do whatever he needs to do in his personal life. I meant this part:
