Thanks but it took awhile. I read an article just before noting they hadn't been invited.
BTW it doesn't change the validity of the point. He appears to favor Muslims over Christians and victims of police over police victims.

I agree that the Governor has handled this well, Winston. I saw his most recent statement that Mancha posted. He deserves credit for doing so. I can see how it may appear that way about the President and there are times, I must admit, where I wonder the same. That said, I think the media has something to do with this also because those visits are usually more high profile.

Speaking as a teacher, they have no control over whether or not a school will be evacuated or locked down. That can only come from the front office. So, fire a teacher for sending a student and his device to the front office?

The handcuffs were over the top. That doesn't change a thing I said. The poster I answered wanted to put all this on the police for cuffing him without his parents being present. Where were the parents when he was making the "clock" and then taking a metal briefcase to school?

Of course he did. How many kids bring their personal projects to school....ones that are not assignments? Particularly when those projects are housed in a metal briefcase? He was told by his science teacher to put it away and not show it around. He then did exactly the opposite and plugged it in in another class.

Massive overreaction? Not at all. Teachers and authorities on heightened alert really since Columbine, Sandy Hook, and the multitudes of bomb threats that get called into schools on a regular basis. And when the school doesn't do enough? We yell, scream, excoriate, blame, and then sue.

I said teachers I should have said administrators. I haven't read the story I'm just going off what I've been reading here.

If there is a device that looks like a bomb, teachers should altert the principal, principal should call the cops and evacuate. You're right I shouldn't put that on teachers, but the administrators should be held accountable for not evacuating. If anything it would have been a great opportunity to see how the school reacts in case this were a real bomb.

your paranoia precedes your common sense. I just notice you had clock in quotation, like it was anything other than that.
