1. So then, he's available for the Notre Dame gig!
  2. Send him to Florida so that we can beat him senseless. Muwahaha!
  3. Indiana is reportedly looking at Mike Archer and Curley Hallman as their possible replacement.
  4. Too bad for Gerry, if I were him I'd try to get a coordinator job in the pros. I dont think that he'll get another college gig and hes always been stubborn about becoming a college coordinator again.
  5. The real question is....Do we have a shot to land him????
  6. Gerry sort of got a bad deal. A new AD came in September and attendance has declined in each of his three years. Also they started 2-0, but finished poorly. It's a basketball school, but if Northwestern can make go 7-5 and 6-6 in the big ten and make it to a bowl last year then IU can do the same. IU is the place where if you go 6-5 and you start looking for a better job.
  7. Isnt Hallman coaching in highschool now?
  8. You don't build a quality football program by firing coaches every three years. Seems that everyone wants instant success i.e. Oklahoma, USC. Well those are the exceptions... Indiana has to start from the bottom up, keep good coaches, provide good facilities, compete with Bowling Green and Miami (OH) for good players and steal a few from B10 schools... Then they'll start winning 5-6-7 games a year...and have a base from which to work...but it takes time..especially at Indiana.

If Nebraska fires this coach, they will be caught in the backwash for many years to come.
  9. Word is he's gonna go coach the Saints, Dinardo always wanted a restaurant in the French Quatuh !

Say what you want about him but many of us here were glad when our team won while he was coaching here. Remember "Bring Back the Magic". Wasn't sad when they let him go but at least he was not a total flop.
