Notice that, following the game, when asked "What does this win say about the Louisville program" Petrino didn't give an answer about "the program", but rather just commented on the game. In all of his interviews, he's been very, VERY hesitant about talking about Louisville in a future sense. He didn't talk about staying with the Cardinals and trying to patch up anything with the Louisville fans. Hidden meaning???? :thumb:
Nothing hidden about it. He wants the LSU job. Whether or not he gets it is an entirely different story. :thumb:
Strange. When Saban announced he was leaving, I was ready to jump on the first qualified coach that would say, "yes"....but now, with the Del Rio rumor thread going on, and Bobby's little situation, I now find myself wanting to wait until Sunday or Monday to find out...giving Skip all the time he needs to give 2nd interviews to a few finalists.
I'm worried about Petrino. I've been reading and hearing stuff about him being of very low character. Not just from the Cardinal boards but elsewhere. If we do get him I hope it's not true. We've known for sometime now that Saban always wanted to coach in the NFL but this guy, you never know what to believe from him.
