You were directing your screams in the wrong direction. Timely hitting is what killed us in this Regional. Don't say "well, that's the coaches fault", because our hitters hit all year. Just not timely.

exactly. determan only gave 4 earned in 7.1 and k'd 9. he deserved a better fate. gonna miss that kid. he was stellar his entire career at LSU even when he would start as a freshman or soph. he could give you 9, middle relief with 5 or close.
As seemingly stupid as the pitching decision was...it worked. Could it have been smarter to pitch Dirks then bring in Jason? I think so, but it's irrelevant because that's not why we lost the game. We lost the game because WE CAN'T LAY DOWN A SACRIFICE BUNT!
