I interviewed John Oates once. Darryl Hall wasn't accessible. Also hung out backstage once with the former members of Kansas who were part of the post-Kansas band Network.
I wouldn't call it rock and roll but I worked stage security for the Temptations, the Four Tops, the Tams, the Chairmen of the Board and the Swinging Medallions. I also bought James Brown a beer one time after I knocked him down but that's another story I'm pretty sure I already mentioned here somewhere.....
Kansas eh? I met and hung out with a few of those cats about 20 years ago. The band I was in was playing at Club LaVela in Panama City Beach, and Kansas was playing next door at Spinnakers... Didn't meet all of them but they were cool.
