he might stay if he wants to be secondary coach.

he did a great job in that capacity.

    As DC?

    no way in hell.

he did a great job as DB Coach?

Koenning is a DB coach, so I hope Mallory is just outright fired.

Peveto has enough effect on recruiting that he may stay as LB coach. I hope not. We need an actual LB coach to replace him.

    Remember Chevis Jackson?
    LaRon Landry?
    Craig Steltz?
    Johnathan Zenon?

Yeah, they were all coached by him and LSU's No. 9 passing defense in 2007, and No. 3 passing defense in 2006.

I would assume that his increased role as DC took away from him coaching the DBs.

So Mallory as DB coach and Koenning as LB coach?

That and losing 3/4 of his secondary from the 2007 team.

I mean, I do not know if Koenning will want him or not, but if Les decides they can work together in the defensive backfield, I wouldn't have a problem with it.

The guy's proven to me he can coach DB's.

the 2006 and 2007 numbers speak for themselves when you consider LSU won the majority of the games they played, so opponents were throwing 40+ times a game on them and still had no success.
