In yesterday's Tuscaloosa News, Christopher Walsh opined that bama's debilitating loss to Auburn last Saturday might actually be a good thing because al the recruits who came saw a chance for immediate playing time.
That made me laugh out loud.

If that thinking was true MSU would have a banner recruiting year every year and Vandy would out-recruit Tenn. almost every year.

Some of these guys must be decendants of the big kookaid party at Jonestown years ago:grin:

To compare Alabama to MSU or Vandy is just stupid...

I agree, they are both much classier institutions of higher learning. They shouldn't be disrespected like that. :hihi:

But last year Bama had more Academic All-Americans than anyone--including Harvard. That's academics, nothing to do with sports or athletes.

Shouldn't talk about things you dont know about...

But we were talking about "institutions of higher learning" right, not the football team...

And to think that it's nearly as hard to be an academic all-american at Alabama as it is at Harvard is ridiculous. I hate that Alabama television commercial acting like you have now one upped Harvard as an academic institution....I was thinking about going to Harvard for graduate school, but now realize that a degree from Alabama is held in much higher prestige.
