Don't know what it ran him, but we'll be paying just over $2.50 a pound for the ones we're getting Super Bowl Sunday. Unless they come down in price by then. About 40 pounds per sack. Never paid that much but hey we're all chipping in and its from our usual place. We didn't check prices elsewhere.
I just got an email from Cajun Crawfish Co in Dallas. For small to medium, w/ limited availability, they are running $4.50. Guess we won't be eating crawfish.
My brother went fishing somewhere in the spillway last week and he told me he saw a lot of people with boatloads of crawfish. I am going to go out to the boat landing where they come in and offer somebody a few more bucks for a sack than they would get from their buyer. One way or another I will have crawfish for the Superbowl.
