  3. My wife has the same condition and were it not for birth control, which thankfully our insurance plan covers, her periods would produce violent cramping and overall misery for 2-4 days.

    Employers should be under no obligation to provide a particular health insurance plan, or for that matter to provide health insurance at all. And individuals should be free to choose for themselves when it comes to how they access medical care.

  8. does the 14th amendment also exclude each of us from paying income taxes? if the 14th amendment is legal justification for everyone enjoying the same rights as religious institutions then does it also exclude us from paying income taxes like a religious organization? equal protection under the law right?

  10. I'm not blaming you. I do not like it either but I use it to illustrate my point that to invoke the 14th amendment to argue that you and I are entitled to the same privileges as the church creates a slippery slope that leads to other difficult questions.
