I saw that too, but that's too many playoff games. Every conference should have a championship game or ... go with Robert Smith's (ESPN analyst) take. Give the #1 team a bye while the #2 and #3 duke it out for a spot in the title game. I know the BCS has it's flaws, but I like how very different the NCAA is from the NFL - the rules, rankings, etc.
If you only want to have one playoff game don't bother just stick with the same tired old format. If you are gonna have a playoff then do it up right. There are teams lower than number 3 in the polls on many years that have the possibility of winning it all. You need to take at least the top 10 or 8 teams but I think the top 10 is better. Gives you something to play for during the year. You make the top 10 teams in the country and you have a shot at the NC game. B
