1. Golden Band
    From Gator fans:
"Man...what a great band they had. Loud as piss and professional."

"yeah, their band made ours look bad.

they played pretty much the entire game, not just a few cheers here and there."

"Most bands will sound inferior to LSU's group. They are definitely ONE fantastic group."

"The Golden Band From tigerland puts on a good show, for sure."

"I'm not running down our band, but I sit right across the corner on the same level with the opposing band and let me tell you the Golden Band from Tiger Land is first class baby. Heck, we all danced to their music all night."
  2. I'm glad you posted this. I've always thought highly of our band. They give me goosebumps often. Following them into the stadium on game day is a real treat. Nice to see they earn respect through the rest of the SEC.
  3. My brother will get a kick out of this...
  4. It's funny you posted this...I was at the game and thats what I heard the whole time also. We even had some Gator fans sit after the game and celebrate with me because they liked dancing to our music...
  5. Best comment there...

  6. You must understand that Mr. Wickes and Ms. Moorhouse are both grads of UF, and as such, have been encouraging us all week to perform at our top-notch best. They wanted us to show that we were in a class of our own. And when I was on the field, I think we showed that.

    I love band.
  7. I remember the first LSU game I went to as an adult and paid attention to the whole game day atmosphere. I said in shock " Man even the band gets a standing O." I love the GBFTL and get into the stadium when they do. Watch the haltime show once and listen to it twice. (Love the P Mac time) The band is definetly a huge part of my game day experience. SOLID
  8. The Golden Band from Tiger Land is heads and shoulders better than Florida's band and all Florida fans know this. I have some family who are UF fans and they are just embarassed of their band and they love it when they get to hear the GBFTL.
  9. Frank Wickes didn't graduate from UF, he went to Delaware and Michigan (which one for under or graduate school I don't know..)

Even Moorehouse said she was embarassed to say she graduated from UF when we saw their band's practice field: between the two 35 yard lines there were trees/shrubs growing 15 feet into the field (for a visual picture, imagine some trees growing into the numbers on on side of the field). That wouldn't have been so bad if the woodwinds didn't have to march in that area. Practicing on that field actually made them worse...
  10. No doubt, the Golden Band From Tiger Land is the abolute best band in the country. I've posted this story before. My friend's daughter is in band. She was a junior last year and began her search for a college. My friend brought her to her first LSU game last year and once she saw and heard the band, the search was over.
