RP will redshirt unless we are desperate. Miles won't put him a year of eligibility behind JR or MF to "showcase something different to the opposing defense that they haven't game planed for". He'll use the 2nd string QB for that. AND YES...it will be a waste to play RP unecessarily AND YES... I will question Miles if he chooses to do it. BTW....can you tell me the last TRUE freshman to lead his team to the NC game and win it?
^^^I don't understand why people ignore the fact that LSU head football coach, Les Miles, said himself, that he wants THREE quarterbacks on scholarship at LSU all available to play. A redshirted player isn't available to play. Assuming Flynn (or JaMarcus behind Flynn) is the 2nd string QB - they are relatively similar & don't offer anything very new for the defense to game plan around. Perrilloux is the only one that appears to be "unique" & would provide that opportunity, which Miles mentioned he would consider using. You act like you game plan or something. How do you know Perrilloux will redshirt unless we are desperate? You are just guessing. Same as me, except I'm guessing based of a quote from the head coach. I guess we will see...
That's right. I seriously doubt Miles will play RP unless something really bad happens out there. Let's hope RP gets his RS this year. He'll be ready to go in if called upon. I remember 2 years ago JR warmed up to go in vs. Zona when LSU was up by 40, but then Saban thought better of it...
Yes, they are. Why not just go with the 2 QB's? If one goes down, then you can still burn RP's redshirt (a la Travis Daniels).
