1. without being lambasted? ah screw ya who cares.

we played well the first half but most was attributable to ainge being young and rattled. beyond that we were certainly outcoached the 2nd half.

the secondary was AWFUL the 2nd half no 2 ways about it. clausen did well but to dink and dunk us again without adjusting is bad. was the same as the ASU game after we had a lead. i dont get it. no one comes clean on a rush either except cam vaughn occasionally in the first half.

prude and francis were good last year and still are yet playing passive leaves them completely lost. its very very obvious. our coaching here leaves a lot to be desired. a lot.

wow what a coaching transition from the last one to this. its night and day. confusion is what we have now. last game with the unsure on 2 pt conversion to the first half tonight. totally inexcusable for this level of coaching.

im still gonna stay patient and be positive my friends but this was a loss by our coaching staff. let's hope we can rebound and learn.

saban coulda won this one up 10 not 21. wait, i said i was gonna be positive.

props to our 3rd string qb winning this one for the other team and thanks to our passiveness.

this team deserved better that's for sure. they were the better team. they deserve some of the blame just not most.
  2. Dazed and confused.

He would have been the 4th string QB this year. Coaching makes a big difference. Phat Phil put a talentless QB in a position to win while Less put the more talented team in a position to lose. Fulmer is IMO not a great game day coach but he handed Les his a$$ tonight for sure.
  3. Good to see someone not giving up hope.

    2 games against 2 good teams. 1-1

I can live with that...for now.
  4. Right... we beat Florida, we are 10-1 easy...
  5. Tirk,
U have the right to bitch buddy!
I am happy that Rick Clauson did get to play and if anyone had to beat us I am glad
    it was him.
He once came to play for LSU and it didn't work for him so I hope he can be successful
    as Tennessee's starter.

I'm not happy nor am I impressed with this coaching staff, this isn't the Big 12 either.
The players on defense played their hearts out but sometimes they have no idea
where they are suppose to be.
    Who's fault is that?
  6. what really happened is phat fulmer wanted to run ball control on us and when it didnt work first half, he swapped QB's ( because ainge was clueless ) and went to the ASU attack plan, plan B, and let Riggs get a rest, then later he brought him back when our boys got tired. Good plan, it worked.

SKip needs to have a heart to heart with LES, nothing that makes him buy luggage, just let him know that the band likes to play that chinese bandit song a bit more often. Like three and out. :dis:
  7. My one post for the night:

I agree. The kids play very hard but the coaches let them down with their inability to make adjustments. Not only adjustments during the game.... but also adjusting the schemes to a degree to the players they have on the team.
  8. I think Auburn and Alabama are going to be tough games as well. If no defenseive adjustments are made then I think just about anybody can give us some trouble. All they have to do is be patient.
  9. look guys, this is our coaching staff for 3 years. there's no way around it. just as if you find out ur fiance' is a an ex whore, you have to accept it for the long haul.

problem is, what do we do now?

i know i come across like im some football know it all when in fact i know squat yet i have opinions.

but guys, we were flat-out outcoached here. our boys played their asses off the last 2 games and both were decided in the last second. LSU has far more talent than both teams to let it come down to that. maybe against ASU since it was game 1 and the circumstances....not this one.

LSU up 17 going into the 4th qtr on our home turf is inexcusable even if its against USC as far as im concerned.

pelini is my biggest worry here. something needs to be changed philosophically. i hate to admit 'stupid fan' who is most always wrong was right in this case. they were right. You should win a game up 17 regardless the playcalling on offense. ugh this one's tough to swallow.

  10. nice subtle way of putting it. i agree.
