Bulletin board material?

How about Iowa's desperation play that scored in the bowl game?

Nick's defenses have often been vulnerable to a back slipping out of the backfield late. The Chief knows this better than anyone.

Peterson hasn't done anything all year long so this is a non story.

Had Reuben Randle said something this brash, then we'd hearing all about it on national TV.

Why would Chavis know anything about how Saban ran his defenses at LSU?

It's all over the Bama boards and the Tuscaloosa media.

You do agree that it won't make their MLBs run any faster Saturday night, correct?

Still stupid. Coaches are always looking for bulletin board material to show their teams. They do it because it often works. No need to help the other team no matter how confident you are. Opening your mouth and giving the other team bulletin board material shows a lack of brains or maturity. Just shut up and play.

That ain't the issue and never was. The thing about BB material is that it can inspire an opponent to play a better, more focused game. It may inspire more people than the big, slow linebackers, too. Worse it may make an opponent decide to make a special point to Peterson that we could live without.

Or how about Tyson Browning slipping out of the backfield and taking the screen pass for what was it, 93 yards?, to the house in the '03 UGA game (the first one). Damn near lost us the game.

I would imagine, though, that it isn't plaguing him nearly as badly since he's running a 3-4. Of course, I'm just guessing.
