that Miles has offered Fisher, Muschamp, Moffitt and Strinfellow (equip mgr) a spot on his staff. He did not know if Fisher and Muschamp were offered the coordinator positions.

This is talk radio, so take this info for whatever it is worth...

if we keep the two M's, I'll be friggin EXSTATIC!

muschamp is an LSU guy through and through...seems a bit more likely that he would stay.

i feel we can do without jimbo...to be honest he hasnt impressed me that much. i think we need someone who can develope young quarterbacks a little more effectively.

He didn't have to offer Moffitt & Stringfellow their positions, it was up to them to decide whether or not they wanted to remain at LSU according to Skip's comments in the Advocate today.

Bertman said strength and conditioning coordinator Tommy Moffitt, trainer Jack Marucci, equipment manager Greg Stringfellow and his equipment staff and assistant athletic director for football operations Sam Nader are among the personnel Miles must retain if they choose to stay and work with him. "Those people are excellent," Bertman said. "If Tommy Moffitt wants to stay, he stays. If Jack Marucci wants to stay, he stays. The same holds true for Greg Stringfellow and his equipment people. That goes for their entire staffs, so that's all the trainers and two or three strength coaches and three guys in equipment."

I think QB development is one of LSU's biggest trump cards when it comes to RP (or any blue chip QB prospect, for that matter). What's Les going to do to ensure LSU is seen as more of a QB school than Texas.

If you're going to recruit Texas, you best know how to position yourself to highlight your strenghts against their (few) weakenesses, and QB development in regards to (note: did not say "relative to", since Saban era is now over at LSU) future pro success and winning championships are two of those weaknesses.

I still don't see how Les can make keeping a coordinator (Jimbo) that the previous coach and some players think should have your (the head coaching) job one of his first moves. Too much potential friction there, not smart.

Les can offer these guys sub-coordinator/position coaching jobs, get turned down, and still say he offered to keep them on but they declined. That would make his offer to retain Saban staff members, to use Les press conference phrase, "relatively true".

If Muschamp is willing to be patient and wait until Clay retires, he could move into the coordinators postion. He is a young man so he has the time. Miles probably would feel more confident with his man when starting a new job. Muschamp could prove himself, and since Clay is nearing retirement age he wouldn't need to wait for long.

I heard otherwise from Buddy's show.
Not offered Coordinator positions (both of them).
    Not staying (both of them).

We will find out for sure tonight.

No offense, but how do you classify a former Georgia player and Auburn grad assistant, "an LSU guy through and through".

Not trying to be a smart-ass or anything, just honestly wondering if there's something about Will that I don't know.

I might get laughed off the forum for saying this, but what is Tommy Hodson doing these days??? At the least, I wouldn't mind seeing him, at least in a special assistant role, to work with the QB's....at least through the spring until a more experienced QB-coach becomes available.
