Me either, but from what I understand, every garage door had them. Not just Wallace's. But he's the only one that perceived a threat, even though the loop couldn't synch, much less fit a person's head through it.

Ties are symbols of racism against white men. More white men are expected to daily don the shackles of oppression and endure the humiliation of having to tie it around their own necks than any other race. I once saw a black judge admonish a white lawyer for not wearing a tie in court. He refused to accept the lawyer's explanation that he was away from his home when he got a call to come to court. To a white man a tie is just as bad as a noose or a burning cross.
