you guys are right on. what if one member of the media said "maybe we should wait until we know the motivation of this before go around sucking each other's dicks about how we are wonderful becaue we are not racist but rednecks are" even mild questioning of this could have been career ending, perhaps even after they found it was fake. and since that is the environment we live in, where we reward faith that everyone is racist, and punish anyone who is skeptical, we have to be aware that most of it is fake.
They storyline will now be,"Even though this wasn't racism, that doesn't mean there isn't racism, so everything we're saying is still correct."
