bass is 1st team pre season all sec, congrats brandon! get healthy we are gonna need you this year!! http://www.lsusports.net/headline3.html?ref=BD49F789-E814-FE91-FFCA8B8E2D4FC9A2
Right before the first game....expect a stromile swift kind of sophomore year out of him...hopefully will stick around for at least another year.
He is going to stick around for his junior year for a chance at a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP. You heard me right.
I don't feel like he is, but man I hope Bass stays for his Junior year. We have to have at least one year of Bass, Davis, and Mitchell on the same team.
This guy is going to be "healthy" right before the first tip of the year, and he's going to go like Stro? Stro had the SEC Freshman of the Year, an all-SEC First team "5", the reigning JUCO Player of the Year, and Brian Beshara, along with CTIII, Dupree, B-Water, and Germaine Williams coming off the bench to help them all out...He couldn't be double teamed without someone else annihalating the other team. Whose going to keep the defense from sagging down and doubling down on Bass? Davis? Is Davis in that good of a shape to provide meaningful minutes? Whose going to hit the outside shots? I just don't see how all of you think a guy coming off surgery with no help down low and no threats from the outside is going to go off like Stro in '00... It's just not going to happen...and Brady is going to run because he needs to shoot more...It's because the easy baskets are the only ones his team can buy... That, and he HAS to put @sses in the stands this year, or he's out like a gone pecan...
Darrel Mitchell shot 41% from 3 point range last year. He could pull some people away from Bass. Of course, if the Tigers are going to be a running team, that kind of lessens the impact of doubling down on him because the defense won't be set up yet. Chances are, he won't have a season like Stro's. But then Stro went #2 overall and I think we can agree Bass is talented, just not that talented.
Best scenario is Bass comes back has a little better than average year not anything special enough to be a first rounder and dominates his junior year where we will be one of the best teams in the nation if "things" work out.
