you realize this year we average LESS turnovers than last year, right? and we also make MORE 3s per game, AND shoot at a MUCH higher clip this year from deep, rather than last... We miss Tyrus's inside presence... We miss Darrel in a sense of his leadership, but not necessarily his ball-handling.
i think the other teams in the league are playing better basketball against us. i know for sure that stephen hill had a sick game up at fayetteville (he was SUCK last year) and we all know about your boy clarence sanders up in oxford those are 2 wins right there that we had last year. not to mention a HEARTBREAKER against UGA. if those go the other way we are sitting at 7-7 right now with a great chance to make the tournament without needing anything in the SECT. I can't mark @UT and @UK as wins under any circumstances.... glen will have to come back against auburn. we will not beat auburn playing auburn basketball at auburn's house.
turnovers are definately NOT this teams problem (unless, perhaps, youre talking about forcing turnovers). not getting to the line either. we lack a PG that we can depend on to get us a good shot. didnt have that last year either, but didnt need it with the better D. blocks and steals way down this year. lose the top steals player and the top blocks player and replace them (statistically) with----mason and martin. obviously the situation is more complicated than that, but this is glaring.
i agree. part of the burden of a FF last year. could beat AU without glen. dont forget they won because they went uncharacteristically nuts from 3
